Unreached People...
2.5 Million Native American Indians live in the U.S. and remain an unreached people group.
The U.S. Center for World Missions classifies a people group as "unreached" if they do not have a culturally relevant church that is capable of reaching the group without assistance.
In Minneapolis less than 1.5% of the 14,000 Native American Indian population attend church.
Alcoholism & Homelessness...
Over 10% of the 14,000 Native American Indians who live in Hennepin County are homeless. Approximately 150 are chronic alcoholics.

The Need...
Since 1990 over 65 homeless, chronic alcoholic American Indians died tragic deaths on the streets of Minneapolis.
The age-adjusted death rates for the following causes were considerably higher than those for the U.S. all races population.

These statistics apply to the Minneapolis area alone.
Just imagine how serious the problem is for Natives nationwide and in Canada.
