 Why Native People? 

 North American Christians in all walks of life are inextricably linked to the indigenous peoples of our land.  In the recent past our First Nations people were persecuted by our government and cheated by our business community.

Over 400 treaties were made and all were broken. Many of the people involved in these acts portrayed themselves as Christians and the Church was often complicit. The result of these past actions is a deep-seated mistrust of Christianity and Christians in general. Christ is often seen as the “white-man’s god” in much of Native America.

   
Native America is clearly the

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

of the North American Church!

But God has raised-up dedicated native pastors and believers who daily cry out to God for their people. Many of these brothers and sisters in Christ have not had sufficient
training in how to reach their people. Many more have none of the ministry resources that non-native churches take for granted.

Being a Pastor is a tough job anywhere, but imagine working where most people don’t trust Christians and where most have heard the Good News and have rejected it out of a sense of distrust.

Helping Native American Pastors and Christian Leaders to better reach their people is the UNFINISHED BUSINESS OF THE AMERICAN CHURCH!
